Bio
Pamela Worley is a self-taught contemporary abstract artist based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Her early career was in accounting before she moved into interior design where she helped clients curate their own art collections. It is through this experience that her appreciation for all styles of art grew.

When the pandemic began she had to put her design business on hold. She was already her husband’s caretaker and now they were in complete isolation due to his compromised health. As way to express herself and connect with people she began doing what she had loved as a child...making art.
And from that a passion was ignited. She moved quickly from pencil and paper sketches to watercolor pencils to painting. She experiments with materials and techniques to create movement and energy in the works. Her love of color, shape, texture, and order is expressed in her art. The layers of paint and mark making visible in all her works is symbolic of the rolls she has played in her life.

Her work is deeply personal and reflects her messy and beautiful life. The layers of paint and mark-making, color and shape, and geometry and symmetry in Pamela’s works echo the joy in her many life-roles of as wife and caretaker, mother and friend, entrepreneur and mentor.
